Following is a summary of this DW article:

Trail has started for a Syrian migrant in Germany who threw his three children out of a first story window during an argument with his wife, seriously injuring them.  In the argument he was apparently frustrated with his wife for her “refusing to accept the roles she had back home,” leading to him grabbing their three children and throwing them out the window, causing them to suffer skull fractures, broken bones, and a liver contusion.  His children are aged 1, 5, and 7.

The unnamed 36 year old man is charged with three counts of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.  When he entered the courtroom he had his T-shirt pulled over his head to hide his face, and he kneeled on the floor handcuffed.

Also, in January the man beat his wife with a saucepan, leading to him being arrested and given an order not to enter the premises for ten days, but his wife gave in and let him return after a few days.
