A 40 year old man broke in a home in Winterhaven, Florida and was shot and killed by three members of the family living in the house.
The mother, father, and adult son of the family woke up to sound of someone trying to break into their home. One of them fired a warning shot as the stranger broke in through a back door, which didn’t deter him, and as he made it to the kitchen all three family members opened fire on him, killing him. The intruder was not armed but the family had the right to shoot him, the chief of police said.
