Mary Hale, an 18 year old British Columbia Student was attacked in her dorm room at the University of British Columbia by a fellow student who is an immigrant from Saudi Arabia that was enrolled in a special program for first-year international students.

Eighteen-year-olds Adam Casey and Luca Berg are credited with saving the life of Mary Hale, who was being choked on the floor by a student Thamer Hameed Almestadi in a dorm of the University of British Columbia. They learned of the attack after running into distraught girls in the hallway who were frantically trying to find people to help her.
Casey said he had five years of marital arts training, and he put Almestadi into a chokehold. When Berg arrived he attacked the assailant’s legs which were around her neck and removed them, allowing her to get out of the room to safety. They both then held Almestadi until the police arrived.
As the saying goes— “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happened, you can bet it was planned to be that way.”
Most people aren’t extremely politically aware, but rather they choose a political party as a “team” which they perceive as being representative of themselves no matter what the underlying reality of their party or candidate might actually be.
Also, many people don’t pay much attention to the news and thus are only informed by the most prevalent news headlines. Therefore, any potential inflammatory statements made by candidates are a large determining factor of who supports a candidate and who opposes them. Trump is perceived by many Americans as being “racist, xenophobic, irrational, and sexist” based mostly on the inflammatory statements that he has made, and thus he is often despised by many people. This is harmful to his candidacy because people who currently don’t support him have little potential of changing their minds to support him in the future.
Here is a list of many of Trump’s relatively recent gaffes from June 2015 to May 2016. I agree that many of his gaffes are reprehensible and some I think are not as much. However, in all cases his statements are inflammatory, which serves to repel potential supporters and solidify Clinton’s base. Trump also often makes inflammatory statements and then later clarifies or changes his stance after the damage has been done.

The above chart shows how “hated” Trump is, which is at record levels for any major candidate since 1980. Notice how he eclipses Clinton who is in second place as the most hated. Trump’s gaffes are serving to make the horribly corrupt Hillary “appealing” by comparison.

Videos like this one are one of the biggest reasons that people don’t understand the serious threat that is posed by Islam. Islam is in no way similar to Christianity— it is more than only a religion, it is an ideology and a political system which dictates how its followers are required to live all aspects of their lives, and Muslims are expected to take it very seriously. In many Islamic countries, Muslims who leave their religion are actually executed for doing so.
As the above video shows, there are extreme passages in the Old Testament of the Bible such as ones talking about stoning people for blasphemy and adultery, however it does not mention that there are no such passages in the New Testament, and the New Testament certainly takes precedence to Christians. Christ was a pacifist and a healer who came to put an end to suffering, he was not a conquering warlord and an enslaver as Muhammad was.
There are a few examples of Christian terrorism being inspired by the Old Testament, but it is statistically insignificant compared to the massive amounts of Muslim terrorism which occurs based on the instructions of the Quran.
There is a passage in the New Testament which is often misinterpreted as Jesus telling his followers to kill people (Luke 19:27) which reads as follows: “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them] before me.” However, this statement is misinterpreted because it can easily be taken out of context. In fact Jesus spoke those words when he was in the middle of telling a parable— he was telling a story about someone else and not actually giving a command to his followers. Starting this first week of October, the government will pay for gender reassignment treatments and surgeries for soldiers, with an estimated expense between $2.4 million to $8.4 million per year.
The RAND Corporation conducted a study showing that there are between 1,320 and 6,630 transgender troops in the active duty force of 1.3 million, and of those troops between 30 and 40 would like hormone treatment, and 25 to 30 would seek surgery.
The policy of the Defense Department is if a service member’s ability to serve is hindered by a “medical condition or medical treatment related to their gender identity,” they will be treated, but the commander must approve the timing of the medical treatment.
Starting October 3, the military health program will cover therapy and hormone treatments for Tricare beneficiaries, and gender reassignment surgeries for active-duty personnel will be conducted either at military hospitals, or if not available there it will be provided at a private hospitals paid by Tricare.
Ron Crews, executive director of Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, said it is a wasteful allocation of money since soldiers undergoing treatments or surgeries are unqualified for deployment for extended periods of time. “I think this is a gross misuse of military medical dollars that should be used to make our military forces deployable or to help those who are wounded or injured while they are deployed,” he said.
The RAND corporation says hormone therapy doesn’t require a designated recovery time, but reassignment surgeries can leave soldiers non-deployable for up to 135 days in the case of male-to-female genital surgery, and 6 to 20% of those receiving “vaginoplasty” surgery may have complications.
Aaron Belkin, director of the Palm Center, a public policy think tank, says the actual costs of the surgeries would be lower due to it mitigating serious conditions that impose costs such as suicidality.
Currently at least five transgender troops are seeking treatment outside the military health care system, including one seeking sex-reassignment surgery. Three are sailors or Marines, and the other two are airmen.
The Army recently assured “Chelsea” [previously Brad] Manning, who is serving a 35-year prison sentence for leaking national security secrets, that they would pay for his gender reassignment surgery while he’s in prison.
A Maryland man has been charged with plotting to kill a U.S. service member on behalf of ISIS in a sting operation.
Nelash Mohamed Das, 24, a Bangladesh citizen who came to the U.S. when he was four years old, has been arrested after months of contact with undercover agents posting as ISIS members when he attempted to kill a U.S. service member in an attack that was set up with false information provided by the FBI.
On September 11, Das met with his FBI source and said he was 100% committed to conducting an attack, saying “That’s like my goal in life.” The following day he said he would like to be paid by ISIS for doing the killings but he is willing to do it for free also. He also said that he wants to specifically target U.S. military personnel.
On September 28, Das’s confidential informant provided him with information about a target who was believed to be a member of the U.S. military. Das believed his information came from ISIS and he would be paid $80,000 for the attack, and he was arrested as he was driving to the location of the target by waiting FBI agents.
Das faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, prosecutors say.
A board of trustees of a Minnesota church wants a Pastor to resign because he invited a speaker to give a presentation warning about the dangers of Islam.
Church board President Dace Julifs of the Oak Street Chapel in Brainerd, Minnesota, said Friday they are planning to ask Pastor Todd Wooden to resign over inviting an anti-Islamist speaker Usama Dakdok to come to the church to speak about Islam.
“That was a pastor gone rogue. Oak Street Chapel, we are a kind and caring and open people,” Julifs said.
Wooden has been a member of the non-denominational Christian church since 2000 and has been a pastor since 2013.

Julifs said he did know about the presentation in advance, but he was under the impression that “it would be an informative meeting about the Muslim community and how non-Muslims could co-exit with them.” He said, “Wooden is supposed to represent all of the congregation, but instead he looked out for the needs of just one member: Daryl Bahma, whose ‘Defenders of the Constitution’ sponsored the event in the first place.”
Julifs said the church was forced to take down its website because of all the negative messages they received in response to the presentation. He said the church’s web administrator was “reduced to tears” after she read some of them. [This is a tactic of powerful Islamist activist groups such as CAIR who know about Dakdok.]
When contacted by the Dispatch and informed the board wanted him to resign, Wooden laughed and said he didn’t regret Dakok speaking in the Church and he wouldn’t resign.
Apparently a “screaming match” between Dakdok and several protesters broke out when he was giving his presentation [(another tactic of CAIR)], which Wooden called “unnecessary,” and he also took issue with Dakdok calling Americans “stupid” for their acquiescence to the spread of Islam.
Wooden couldn’t say for sure if Dakdok’s presentation was “Islamophobic” though. He said, “I don’t know how to answer that, really, because I really don’t understand all the elements of Islam at this point. … That would be like calling a Muslim-American America-phobi(c), wouldn’t it? Because they’re so passionate about Islam being the only way to bring peace to this world.”
The congregation will decide whether Wooden will stay on as pastor. Wooden said the board doesn’t have the authority to ask for his resignation and none of them were at the presentation, adding that the chair of the church’s ministry and several members of the church gave him positive feedback about the presentation.
Wooden said he believes the congregation will choose to act in his favor. “They have confidence in me being the spiritual leader of the Church,” he said.
A California woman is seeking an official apology from United Airlines for discrimination after she was re-seated by the airline due to two Pakistani Muslims refusing to share a row with her because she is a woman.
47 year old Mary Campos was called to the counter before boarding her flight, being told that her seat was reassigned because the two men who would have been sitting with her claimed they couldn’t sit next to a woman for religious reasons.
“I thought I lived in a culture where women were equal to men,” Mary Campos told CBS Los Angeles. “We can’t discriminate against half the population for a belief from another nation.”
She wrote a letter to the CEO of United, part of it saying: “Any belief that prevents individuals from interacting with females should not travel on commercial aircraft.”
Campos said her intention is not to sue United, but she wants the airline to apologize to the female flight crew and the female passengers, and to change their policies. She said if the doesn’t get that, she’ll do whatever she has to do to protect women’s rights.
An 34 year old Ethiopian immigrant who was working as a certified Nursing Assistant in Portland, Oregon has been arrested and charged with the rape of 87 and 94 year old patients, and a half dozen other alleged victims have come forward after his arrest making him likely face many more charges.
Most shocking is the fact that the lawsuit filed on behalf of the 87 year old victim claims that many of the attacks could have been prevented if the hospital acted after the 94 year old told them she had been raped back in June.
The lawsuit alleges:
“ [St. Vincent Medical Center] knew and had reason to know that Adeladilew Mekonen had abused and was likely to again sexually abuse ill and elderly female patients, including plaintiff, if he were allowed to be alone with them in their rooms, and yet defendant Providence directed and allowed Mekonen to continue to attend such female patients, including plaintiff, under such circumstances.”
The 87 year old’s attorney told a Portland TV station: “When you get an accusation as serious as this, you’re really supposed to do something about it. You’re not supposed to look for the first door out and try to look for a way to say it never happened.”
The hospital issued a statement saying that they are working closely with law enforcement, and that they have a team of people working to review and investigate any patient concerns in all of their hospitals.
A neighbor of the suspect expressed surprise when he was interviewed by a local news station KATU, saying: “I thought he was a very nice guy, family oriented.”
Mekonen had been working at the hospital since May, a month before the first rape was reported. He immigrated to the United States from Ethiopia in 2011.
A 35 year old hairdresser was stabbed to death by her husband inside their apartment in Sydney, Australia because she converted to Christianity, according the the Sydney Herald. Both are Iranian and have been living in Australia for four years on “bridging visas.”
Amir Darbanou, 42, was charged with the murder of his wife Nasrin Abek after police broke into the apartment at the request of her father who was concerned about her welfare. Amir had called her father in Iran and told him that he killed his daughter, leading to her father frantically attempting to get the police to investigate the apartment.
One neighbor heard screams come from the apartment in the afternoon, but only silence after.
An Essential Research poll released on Wednesday found that 49 percent of Australians support a ban on Muslim Immigration, including 60 percent of Coalition voters, 40 percent of Labor Voters, and 34 percent of Green voters.
The most common reasons for wanting a ban were terrorism fears and the belief that Muslims do not share Australian values and do not want to integrate into society. The poll was conducted in early August and then repeated to ensure that it was not a result on inconsistencies.
“It’s too a big a number to say it’s an unrepresentative rump that should be shunned from polite society,” pollster Peter Lewis told the media.
