MSNBC: Trump’s immigration proposals vetting terrorist countries can’t be done because it would “cost $100 billion” and “cripple immigration”

In an MSNBC program recorded yesterday, hosts speak with a group of guests about Donald Trump’s proposals concerning immigration, basing their information and opinions on outdated claims which Trump made in the past rather than on his current modified proposals which are much more workable.  A guest claims that Trump’s immigration proposals would “cost as much as $100 billion” while actually basing his projection on vetting every person who would visit the U.S. rather than the suspension of immigration from countries that have been compromised by terrorism.

At the beginning of the clip, old footage (December 2015) is shown of Donald Trump saying the following:  “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States, until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on,” but they fail to note that Trump has changed his stance since then.

Then they show a more recent July 21 2016 clip:  “We must immediately suspend immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism, until such time as proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place, we don’t want them in our country.”

Following are excerpts from the conversation which ensues:

ARI MELBER (who claims he spoke with over twenty homeland security experts):  “There’s been questions about whether this is legal, whether it’s a good idea. We dug in because he is the major party nominee on what it would actually take.  … [ Here are ] quotes we got talking to people who are ICE, DHS, border security, they say: ‘impractical, unworkable, impossible, not doable.’”

HOST: “Did anyone tell you it could be done?”

ARI MELBER:  “Some people looked at the price estimate, I can show you that there are 189 million entries to the U.S. in a year that are non-immigrant entries [ people who temporarily visit the country with passports ].  So if you take that and you say actually that you want to patrol and vet those people for their beliefs or their religion, you have to start looking at what the top Muslim nations are.  …  A ballpark figure right now, we spend about $21.5 billion dollars on immigration enforcement.  We were told by officials that … it would be up to $100 billion just to set up a kind of global vetting system to look at people’s beliefs.”

More than one million Muslims have immigrated to the U.S. from Islamic countries since the year 2000, many have not been properly vetted, Clinton could bring in close to one million more during her first term

This Breitbart article shows that at least 2.5 million immigrants from Islamic countries currently live in the United States, with more than 1 million of them arriving between 2000 and 2013.

This Breitbart article article projects that Hillary Clinton would likely end up permanently resettling as many as 214,000 Muslim immigrants in the U.S during the first year of her administration if she wins the presidency, with the total amount of Islamic immigrants during her first term in office being almost 1 million if she would continue that trend for each of the four years.

And this Breitbart  article explains the issue of many potentially radical Muslims being allowed into the U.S. due to its lax immigration policies.  It explains that adequate vetting has not been done on the many Somali and Iraq refugees which have been allowed into the country.

The EU is to set up a permanent policy to invite migrants to legally settle in the continent year after year, and it will fine states €250,000 per each allocated migrant they refuse

Following is a summary of this Breitbart article

The European Union is to establish a permanent policy to invite migrants to legally settle in the continent year after year.    The “EU Resettlement Framework” will offer legal routes for people deemed “in need of protection,” which the European commission says that it hopes will deter migrants from paying people smugglers to transport them to Europe.

Frans Timmerman, the Commission’s Vice-President said: “We need to move up a gear in our common efforts to provide international protection, and that includes resettling refugees in Europe in a safe and orderly way.  … It is an integral part of the larger objective of ensuring that protection is offered to those who need it, reducing the incentives for irregular migration and protecting migrants from exploitation by smuggling networks and dangerous journeys to reach Europe.”

The framework also explains how the unelected European Commission plans to relocate migrants throughout the continent.    The EU will give countries €10,000 for each migrant that they agree to take from other member states, and the commission will fine countries €250,000 per migrant allocated that they refuse.

[Editor’s note:  Opponents of Brexit often aren’t aware that situations like this are imposed by the EU.]

The Establishment politician Newt Gingrich is grandstanding with unconstitutional and unreasonable sounding statements that will help to ensure continued importation of potential Islamic radicals

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich gave an interview on Fox News suggesting ridiculous and unworkable rhetoric in response to the recent terrorist truck attack in France that killed at least 80 people, making suggestions including testing every Muslim in the United States in order to deport those that believe in Islamic Sharia law, similar to how Donald Trump had pledged in his campaign to “ban all Muslims from entering the United States.”   However, Gingrich neglected to mention the thousands of Islamic migrants that are secretively being brought into the United States from middle eastern and African countries by the Obama Administration.

Nonetheless, Gingrich did discuss the fact that many Sharia courts exist in Britain which supersede the laws of that country with Islamic laws, and he suggested that those courts should be outlawed in order for the laws of Britain to properly take precedence.
